The Multicultural Center

Mentor/Web Designer

  • Mentored students in cultural diversity waiver program, documented any changes in student's academic performance, recorded/reported any behavioral changes to Director of Multicultural Student Services. Completed yearly report of all students progress.
  • Maintained center's web site using HTML coding. Updated ListServ files for center's various groups. Serviced center's computers, printers, and local area net working hardware. Coordinated and programmed campus-wide events with staff.

The Floating Hospital

Bookkeeper/Accountant

  • Maintained program statistics and current program ledger for each program year (July 1st - June 30th). Served as a liaison between landlords, realtors, superintendents, managing agents, telecommunications and utility providers as required
  • Maintained book and ledgers in accordance with acceptable accounting practices (GAAP). Ensured that books, ledgers, records and files are current and up-to-date at all times and accessible. Established and maintained internal and inventory control systems.

Furnace Tenderer

  • Degassed and poured hot metals from forklift into 20 different die casting machines.
  • Collected and recycled scrap metal for re-melting in furnaces. Unloaded trucks containing virgin metal; placed virgin metal into furnaces.
  • Cleaned and maintained blast furnaces and work area. Inspected various pieces, under guidance of Quality Control Inspector.
